I have been invited to visit greensacΒ store in Galleria 2000 shopping mall πŸ™‚ I said yes with no hesitation since I am working on an environmental project πŸ˜‰ Plus I wanted to get some reusable bags for my personal use πŸ˜‰

I was initially contacted by the store owner’s niece, Noura πŸ˜‰ A very sweet young lady πŸ™‚ I went to the store with my sister Fulla and let me tell you this… the store is kinda small but FULL of items to choose from πŸ˜‰ Different colors, sizes, purposes, usage, materials…Β As soon as I saw those bags on the wall, I remembered when I posted about the FEEDΒ Project -as the new IT bag- back in 2007 (link) saying I wanna own one πŸ˜‰

Ohhhh I like this one! I love the beads detail on it <3

The bags do look hip and cool…. plus you know you are paying for something to enjoy and also for a good cause πŸ˜‰ nice!

And some accessories with it.. they can be used for makeup, coins, small cases…. etc!

It was just fun to walk around the store and checking the cool stuff they have out while telling us about projects involved, personal stories, and ways to save the environment

On this wall… you see a variety of brands that makes those reusable bags such as onya, SAKitToMe, and BAGGU that Tidbit du Jour posted about a couple of days ago (link)

Fulla really liked BAGGU bags…

They come in different packaging, sets, singles, and many many colors πŸ˜€

And on this side are PERIGOT bagsThose are just cute teddy bears! The bag can fold inside the teddy bear which can be attached to your bag or key chain! Checkered, polka dots, bright colors, andΒ metallicΒ gold πŸ˜‰

The section next to it shows some of Helmi El Touni art work printed on bags… he is an Egyptian Artist and will be in Kuwait to showcase his art work soon! I will keep you posted πŸ˜‰

He designed a special bag called (Ω…Ψ΅Ψ± Ω„ΩƒΩ„Β Ψ£Ω‡Ω„Ω‡Ψ§) – which means “Egypt for its People” donating the proceeds of which to those who were affected by the tear gas bombs during the riots in Egypt. The bag shows hisΒ folkloric art, a drawing of a lady with red cross and red crescent and a couple of flowers. Nice and simple

Now check this cool grocery cart πŸ™‚ It has adjustable bags in it for you to put your groceries in and then carry the bag home when you’re done! The bag is divided inside for different items, including bottled water spaces

And smaller bags for produces… fruit and veggies from ChicoBag πŸ˜‰

They come in different styles too

Here are some more bags… a brand called RuMe! I like it πŸ˜‰

I really liked the fact that they have a variety of styles to suit all tastes

Some really fold into small sizes… that you can drop a couple in your bag -they are so light too- so when you drop by the grocery store, you unfold it for your groceries and tell the cashier “I have my bag with me, do not give me plastic bags” πŸ˜‰

Loved the store… its Ansam518 approved and loved! I will be a regular there for sure πŸ˜‰

You can really make a difference when you buy a reusable bag! You will help inΒ eliminatingΒ waste material

One reusable bag can eliminate 1,000 plastic bags a year.

Oh check how big is this one πŸ˜‰ Its for display only πŸ˜‰

I couldn’t help but notice that they have BHCrafts πŸ™‚ I really am hooked! Those are hand-crafted pieces, and when you buy one you help people from Bosnia and Herzegovina!

My sister and I surely enjoyed our time at greensac πŸ™‚ The owner and her team were super informative and sweet πŸ™‚ Loved everything about their items… the variety, and the causes they support… not to mention their smiley faces πŸ™‚ Made us feel so at ease πŸ˜€

We left the store in reusable bags that we purchased πŸ˜€ I got the FEED one filled with my goodies, and Fulla got her items in one of her BAGGU bags πŸ˜€ She went green with the theme of greensac and the whole going green thing

Those are my items above, and Fulla’s below πŸ˜‰

And the gifts we got from the very sweet and kind owner *hugs* – a produce bags set, two Helmi El Touni reusable bags, two Helmi El Touni “Egypt for its People” bags, and a couple of ChicoBags (I have one attached to my FEED bag now)

Not only the store owner care about the environment, but she also good causes! She takes the extra mile into trying to get people in it

She is trying to make 20.11.2011 a special cause day called “A Day Without a Plastic Bag”! Take action this November, tell a friend and make a difference πŸ™‚ For more information you can check their website (link), Facebook Page (LIKE), and follow them on Twitter @legreensacΒ greensac is located in Galleria 2000, Mezzanine Floor – Shop #12 – Tel: 25730351

You overuse the wink and sometimes ur winks are so unfitting and uncalled for. Especially when they come after a random boring fact. It’s uncool and makes you look desperate. Use wisely.
