It was a long productive day in Yasmin Farms touring it first (link), and cheese making for @AlbanDairy later (link).. but the day was not over Lets go see some produce now

Not too far from the cheese making labs I saw some fresh produce – cabbages, broccoli, tomatoes, cucumbers… chili peppers *yikes* and more

بعد مانتهينا من الأجبان توجهنا لرؤية مزيد من مزارع ياسمين وماشالله شفنا بعض المحاصيل الزراعية من ملفوف و طماطم و خيار و فلفل وغيرها

One of the farmers was preparing some sun dried tomatoes and packaging them… they looked so good – with the extra virgin olive oil brought all the way from Palestine

كان في أحد المزارعين يحضر برطمانات طماطم مجففة مع التوابل و زيت زيتون أصلي بكر من فلسطين

And the outdoors now… lets see some crops now

والجولة الأخيرة قناة في أجواء المزرعة و تفقد المحاصيل

Oh and we dropped by some bee farms… sorry guys! That’s the closest I can get to

و شفنا بعض المناحل للعسل - طبعا هذي أقرب نقطة لي عند المنحل

Not too far away from cabbages

Fava Beans plant… thats the flower and the picture below it is of the broad beans inside the pods

And now… Hydroponics Farms! What does that mean really? It means the plants are grown without soil using a solution that is rich in nutrients

و الآن صور شيقة لبعث الخضراوات التي يتم زراعتها بمحالييل مائية مشبعة بالمغذيات من غير تربة

Can you guess what they’re planting in the picture above?

ممكن تخمن نوع الخضار بهذه الصورة؟

Thats lettuce (خس)

More veggies to see… tomatoes, parsley… oh and the strawberries – too bad the doors were locked

The horses were out as well… we tried to play around with them a bit

It was a very fun and eventful day for both Dana, our driver, and I! We all had so much fun! I thank Mr. Bader AlAyoubi for arranging such a wonderful outing and for being super nice and helpful throughout the day – and I thank Mr. Jamil AlSultan for having us in his farms – I will be back for sure
