ذهبت مساء أمس لمشاهدة فلم “بلاد العجائب” للمخرجة دانة المعجل في مقر التحالف الديمقراطي في النزهة . الفلم حائز على ٥ جوائز من لوس انجلس و شارلوت و نيو يورك و دبي و مرشح الان في ميامي

بلاد العجائب  فيلم قصير يدور في أجواء “فانتازيا” شديدة الواقعية وهو مستوحى من قصة اليس في بلاد العجائب

Last night I attended a movie organized by the National Democratic Alliance in Nuzha called “Wonderland” directed by Dana AlMojil and inspired by Alice in Wonderland – The film gained many awards (including Charlotte) in Los Angeles, New York, and Dubai, and is nominated now in Miami. I loved it! Amazing work! The storyline is similar to that of Alice in Wonderland but was made to fit the Kuwaiti ambiance with a very realistic fantasia (if that will make sense). I hope they post the whole movie on YouTube soon!

The movie is around 40 minutes long and it passes by so fast. Very interesting story and story line. I really hope they do award Ms. Dana AlMojil and give her recognition locally – as she is being awarded abroad. Let’s hope we see this film make it even BIGGER 😉 I wont spoil it for you but I hope you all get to see it soon

Dana had a mini Q&A session after the movie, talked about the filming, which took place a couple of years back with students from Kuwait Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts – who did it all for the experience out of their will. The film making took around one year to finish and was done initially for her thesis in film making – again, amazing work

She was then awarded by the Democratic Alliance by Mr. Khaled AlKhaled
