My family decided to spend Eid break in Oman’s Six Senses Zighy Bay
The resort is located on the Northern Musandam Peninsula in the Sultanate of Oman! It was more practical for us to take a plane trip to Dubai then a road trip of around two hours to the resort!
It was a trip in the desert and in between the mountains of UAE and Oman! We passed by many things on our way… we saw signs for Masafi factory, different resorts like Banyan Tree AlWadi in Ras AlKhaima and more
And then it was a quick stop at the UAE/Oman borders! It was the last day of Ramadan, the immigration officers were so friendly with us… the time of our arrival at the border was a breeze, not too much traffic so that’s good đŸ˜‰
And we reached the entrance point to the Six Senses Zighy Bay… with a huge red sign that reads something along that these lines: This is a borderline – non GCC nationals are not allowed to cross. When we asked the driver, he said that the resort area allows visitors to pass by with no Visa entry, just to the resort itself through Dubai… other areas require visiting Visa I guess
We initially wanted to take speedboat to the resort, but we were beat, and decided to continue the trip by car… as our friendly driver Badruddein suggested that we live the experience!
The road to the resort look like that… exactly like in these pictures, with no intention to modernize it, again… for you to live the Six Senses experience, something different đŸ˜‰
And we made a quick stop on the mountains to check the view of the resort…Â Dramatic mountains on one side and a 1.6-kilometer sandy beach on the other
And continuing our journey to the the resort
And here it is… Six Senses Zighy Bay
A beautiful setting of what look like an indigenous village style resort with a private marina!
