I was invited by my friend Mohammed AlSane to attend his exhibition at Treak Boutqiue to show case his collection. Mohammed is starting his backpacker’s unconventional kind of boutique, where he brings in limited pieces from different artists, cultures, travels, from all around the world to Kuwait. You can contact him by email [email protected] – Yeah… he called his boutique, Designed by Culture… or simply dbyculture (click here)
What was he exhibiting this time? Peruvian artisans handmade pieces, made from recycled/reused material and turned into beautiful gorgeous pieces! Who’s the artist behinf this work? Vacide Erda Zimic and you can check her blog here!
The place looked cozy! It was more of a get together and chit-chat with Mohammed and his trip, culture, and having a good time viewing those pieces
Limited pieces that you can grab if you see them first, or order them through Mohammed
The nice Mariam modeled for me… a guest at the exhibition! She seems to know what she was doing and she’s a natural with the camera
As you can see… there are different pieces from necklaces, to pins, bags, accessories, dolls…. something for everyone and for different tastes I guess 😉
And the kind Meem AlEssa modeling one piece for me! The color combo! I like it 😉
And Fatma, the owner of Treak modeling a piece for me as well… colorful and she’s rocking that look!
The exhibition was supposed to be held for one day, but they extended it till Thursday – so you can still go today and tomorrow between 5:00PM to 9:00PM – go check the work of this amazing artist, chit-chat, have a cultural eye-candy, buy what you like, or order the ones that are sold out 😉 My find? This piece below… and I LOVE IT
