I was introduced to Sale e Pepe Italian Ristorante by Sara and Lulu AlSane! They know how much I love Spaghetti/Linguini alla Vongole and that’s why the recommended the place for me

The restaurant is located on Pavilion Road, just a couple of minutes walking from Harrods/Harvey Nichols

المطعم موجود على شارع بافيليون… دقايق مشي من هارودز و هارفي نيكلز

The first time I went there I was with Lulu. I recommend you reserve a table before going because it can get pretty crowded at prime hours for lunch and dinner

أول مرة رحت المطعم كانت مع لولو… من الأفضل إنكم تحجزون طاولة لأن يزدحم بأوقات الغدا و العشا

I can’t have enough of their Bella di Cerignola Olives! It comes with your bread and butter basket

الزينون اللي يقدمونه مع سلة الخبز خيال

For appetizer, I ordered Asparagi al Parmigiano… asparagus served hot butter and Parmesan shavings. We also ordered Calamari Fritti… crispy fried squid with tartare sauce. Both dishes were good, specially the calamari! The tartare sauce complimented the fried calamari very well, and the calamari itself wasn’t oily. I recommend a squeeze of lemon on top! YUMMM

للمقبلات طلبنا أسباراغوس (هليون) بالزبدة و جبن البارمازان و كالاماري أو حبار (خثاق) مقلي مع صلصة التارتار… الطبيقين ممتازين و خاصة الكالاماري صج إنه مقلي بس مو مشبع دهن و الصلصة ياية مضبوطة تضيف لطعم الكالاماري و خاصة مع الليمون

So good

And I ordered my Linguini alla Vongole

و طبعا طلبت طبقي… باستا اللينغويني مع المحار

I am so addicted to this Italian dish, although it contained parsley and I dont like parsley! I can never have enough of it

أنا مدمنة لهذا الطبق اللذيذ مع إني ما أحب البقدونس

And it was so good! The Linguini was perfectly cooked al dente 😉 sautéed with fresh clams in garlic and parsley! The sauce, the pasta… what can I say!

طبعا الباستا مطبوخة علو أصولها و محتفظة على قوامها و الصلصة خيال

 And now let’s talk desserts!

و الحين دور الحلو

I ordered the Raspberry Cheesecake (I think it was the dessert of the day) and Lulu ordered Torta al Limone, a home made lemon tart. Both desserts were fine, the tart was not bad but below expectations

أنا طلبت طبق حلو اليوم و كان تشيزكيك بالتوت. لولو طلبت تارت الليمون… الطبيقين لا بأس فيهم بس أعطيهم تقييم عادي أو أقل من عادي

That trip to the restaurant was surely not enough, so I went again with my nephew Saleh for more

طبعا رحلة واحدة للمطعم ما كفتني… رحت مرة ثانية مع صالح ولد إختي و طلبنا نفس الطبق

I highly recommend it as a dish, and recommend you visit the restaurant for Italian food! They have been in the business since 1974, serving yummy Italian dishes with a smile!
