I was at Caramel yesterday for a tour of the store (review coming soon)! I’m friend’s with them and been in love with their famous pumpkin cake for the longest time ever 😉 I was given LOADS of yummies on my way out and one of which was Lavender Cheesecake

The cake -just by looking at it- is a piece of art! Not overly presented, but so beautiful (you should see the packaging and wrapping of cake boxes too – which I will also mention in my next post about them)

I was gonna save it for our Friday family gathering, but could not wait! So I took it over to my sister’s house and the minute we started cutting, the most amazing lavender smell filled the place

Beautiful lavender color hugged in golden crust… topped with hot pink rose petals and a couple of rosebud flowerettes in the middle – Spring-y garnish… and lavender drops on the edges that look like Hershey’s kisses! Very whimsical 😀

Taste? You would think it would taste soapy! Right? Well.. its not 😉 Its sweet floral taste (and scent too), something out of the ordinary and it is made for those who would appreciate such creations! I would say it is an acquired taste 😉 Those culinary lavenders are grown in-house (in Lebanon) and brought all the way specially for this cake… adding a floral feel to it! And let me tell you that the color of the flesh gives it the WOW-factor of course, I mean the minute the first slice was cut… everyone wanted to have a bit 😉

Recommended for those who dare to try something out of the ordinary 😉
