If you have been following me you would know how much I like PQ – or Le Pain Quotidien. I love their tartines (open-face sandwiches) and last weekend I got to try the Croque Monsieur

Just like their other sandwiches, the presentation is simple minimal but amazing – and I must say not consistent – I do not mean this in a bad way, but their sandwiches presentation and ingredients differ from time to time and from one branch to another, nevertheless it keeps the same feel and style! Anyways, my tartine was served on a ceramic flat board that was used as a plate, a couple of pickles, and a tomato wedge. The bread is amazing! I love their bread selection, bechamel sauce was a bit on the heavy side but all in all the sandwich was delicious! The sun-dried tomatoes on top added a lot to the flavor… but I still think Paul’s Croque Monsieur is the best (link) – what are you guys having for breakfast? 😉
